Welcome to the school from the Headteacher
Old Leake Primary and Nursery School is all about happy, hardworking children having fun trying to reach their own personal best in all areas of the school life. Our motto is ‘Success for all. ’We offer high quality teaching in a stimulating, caring community. We have high expectations for all pupils. We welcome diversity and shared experiences, interests and strengths. Each class is a vibrant exciting, learning centre where the children are challenged in a supportive, caring environment.
Our History .....
Originally the village of Old Leake had two schools, one at Commonside and one at Church End. Our present school was built in 1973 to accommodate the growing needs of the community. When the primary school at Leverton was closed, Old Leake became the designated school for Leverton children and many of them were taken on roll at Old Leake Primary School, thus making it a sizeable village school.
In January 1994, the school became Grant Maintained and has been a Foundation School since April 1999.
Present Day .....
The governors and staff are rightly proud of Old Leake Primary & Nursery School, but we are always striving to improve the learning opportunities for all through offering an exciting and enjoyable curriculum.
We have a team of talented and dedicated teachers and support staff who also work with the children to continually improve the school environment at all times. We teach and model children to respect and care for others, in the belief that they will become valued members of society.
