Hot School Lunches are provided for a cost of £2.50 per day except where a child qualifies for a free meal (either the Universal Free School Meals in Reception Class and Key Stage 1, or Free School Meals in Key Stage 2 – see below). Otherwise parents will need to provide a packed lunch.

Please contact the school office for further details if you think that your child may be eligible for free school meals.

Children are encouraged to eat what is provided. We would ask that you do not overfill boxes as this can cause difficulties, especially with younger children. Please avoid sending glass bottles or fizzy drinks.

Children may also bring a healthy snack for morning break such as a piece of fruit or a packet of raisins. We also operate a tuck shop selling healthy options before school and for Key Stage 2 during morning break.

Universal Free School Meals / Free School Meals

All children in Reception Class through to Year 2 are entitled to Universal Free School Meals and will automatically be ordered a main meal. Children eligible for Free School Meals in Year 3 through to Year 6 will automatically be ordered a main meal also. If you DO NOT want your child to have a school meal please advise the school office. If you want them to have one of the alternative meal choices, you must pre-order with our caterers - Willoughby Foods Ltd.

Paid Meals

All children in Nursery and Year 3 through to Year 6 who are NOT eligible for free school meals can order meals by pre-ordering with Willoughby Foods at a cost of £2.30 per day. Obviously, your child does not have to have school dinners every day. You can chose the meals that your child would like on the Willoughby Foods website.

A copy of the menu can be found on the school website or picked up from the school office, or alternatively on the Willoughby Foods Website - www.willoughby-foods.co.uk

A registration form will need to be completed and submitted to the school office before ordering.
