School Premises
The hire of school premises for school related business/duties is not charged.
E.g. Meetings - Staff, Governors and Friends of School
Other occasions when a request is made to hire the school/ grounds, the charges are based on the caretakers’ letting fees from County.
School Trips
No charge can be made for any activity/school trip, which takes place wholly, or mainly during school hours. When trips are planned, parents may be asked to make voluntary donations towards the costs. Every child will take part whether or not his/her parents have made a contribution. However, if insufficient voluntary donations are made, some trips may have to be cancelled for all children. Charges can legally be made for certain extras where allowed for under the law.
Swimming
Swimming is a compulsory part of the KS2 National Curriculum, and so children are expected to attend swimming sessions at some stage during their time in school. The cost of transport is met by voluntary contributions from parents.
