ABC Foundation Stage at Old Leake Primary and Nursery School
Active Ants
Active Ants is a social, fun afternoon for pre-school children (0-4years) and their parents or carers.
1.30pm – 3.00pm on Thursday afternoons (term-time only)
Busy Bees
Children can join the Nursery the September after their third birthday.
Nursery opening times are 08.50am – 12:00pm
Lunch club 12:00 – 1:00pm at a cost of £1.50
(please provide a packed lunch)
Monday to Friday (term-time only)
Creative Caterpillars
Children are admitted to the Reception Class in the September after their fourth birthday.
School times 8.50am to 3.10pm
Transition
A transition programme, for children starting in the Nursery and Reception classes, begins in the Summer term (Term 6) to ensure children become familiar with their new setting. Activities include a home visit, open morning/afternoon for parents and children, an information evening for parents and a taster morning for children.
Staff also work closely with local feeder settings.
