Staffing for September 2010
Letter from Mrs Bishop regarding the staffing arrangements for September 2010.
Attendance letter to parents
At Old Leake Primary School we believe pupils attendance is of paramount importance to their education, emotional and social well being. Children need to attend school regularly: every day of school missed means that an opportunity for learning has been lost and that child may not be able to keep up with their school work. If a child has missed school they often return to lessons confused about what is happening and this can lead to a lack of confidence and self-esteem. Missing school also impacts on friendship groups. One further fact is, research shows that only 65% of children who miss an average of 15 days school per year achieve the expected Level 4 in their end of primary school SAT’s tests.
Internet Safety
As a parent you'll probably be aware that children are using the internet at a younger and younger age these days and whilst many will be under the supervision of their parents using the home computer, many have access to laptops, games consoles or mobiles which can connect to the internet.
School closure Friday 8th Jan
